Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter

Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter is inspired by the romance and pageantry of the historic French Quarter in New Orleans. It makes you feel as though you’ve stepped into an alluring world of delicious Cajun food, jazz music and dazzling parades. Stroll cobblestone walkways and gaze down from balconies with delicate railings as you listen to the smooth jazz backdrop and breathe in the sweet smell of magnolia blossoms in the air. As you pass by the ornate street signs, antique gas lampposts and fountains, you may just feel like you’ve been transported to The Big Easy.

There are seven 3-story tall buildings, some situated along the Sassagoula River. You’ll find the Main Lobby in the resort’s central building, The Mint, as well as a food court that serves American and Creole food, live entertainment on select nights at Scat Cat’s Lounge and Jackson Square Gifts & Desires. All rooms have two queen-size beds or one king-size bed.

The lushly landscaped mile-long walking path along the Sassagoula River is great for a stroll to unwind after a busy day. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort -Riverside is just a short walk down river where you can dine or take a horse-drawn carriage ride. The scenic journey feels like you’re leaving the big city on your way to the rural countryside. Heading the other direction down the river you can reach Disney Springs by boat.

Doubloon Lagoon is the pool complex that includes a waterslide that resembles a giant sea serpent. Kids will also enjoy the playground, video game arcade, and bike rides.
